The Challenge

We are hiring an skilled leader to drive modernization, innovation, and higher performance for the NC Division of Motor Vehicles.

In this strategic leadership role, you will:

Serve as an advisor to our NCDMV Commissioner providing assistance in making modernization and operations improvement for NCDMV statewide.

Ensure that strategic initiatives are developed and implemented for optimal staff performance and excellent customer service throughout the state.

Develop long-term goals and strategies, evaluate the steps, and identifying challenges in reaching these goals.

Oversee execution of strategic initiatives and special projects.

Ensure that clear and consistent communications throughout NCDMV is maintained regarding strategic planning related to modernization.

Build strong stakeholder relationships and engagement.

Exercise problem solving and foster a collaborative atmosphere for internal and external stakeholders.

What You Bring

Experience leading critical organizational change initiatives.

Working knowledge of strategic planning implementation.

Demonstrated ability to use problem solving skills to manage a diverse organization.

Experience composing and presenting information to diverse audiences.

Experience evaluating risk assessment for organizational process improvements.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree, and

3+ years experience, and

2+ years of management experience in the public or private sector involving significant decision-making authority in the planning, organizing, and directing of operations; or

An equivalent combination of training and experience.
