The Challenge

We are hiring an skilled leader to drive modernization, innovation, and higher performance for the NC Division of Motor Vehicles.

 

In this strategic leadership role, you will:


  • Serve as an advisor to our NCDMV Commissioner providing assistance in making modernization and operations improvement for NCDMV statewide.

  • Ensure that strategic initiatives are developed and implemented for optimal staff performance and excellent customer service throughout the state.

  • Develop long-term goals and strategies, evaluate the steps, and identifying challenges in reaching these goals.

  • Oversee execution of strategic initiatives and special projects.

  • Ensure that clear and consistent communications throughout NCDMV is maintained regarding strategic planning related to modernization.

  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and engagement.

  • Exercise problem solving and foster a collaborative atmosphere for internal and external stakeholders.


 

What You Bring


  • Experience leading critical organizational change initiatives.

  • Working knowledge of strategic planning implementation.

  • Demonstrated ability to use problem solving skills to manage a diverse organization.

  • Experience composing and presenting information to diverse audiences.

  • Experience evaluating risk assessment for organizational process improvements.


 

Education & Experience


  • Bachelor's degree, and

  • 3+ years experience, and

  • 2+ years of management experience in the public or private sector involving significant decision-making authority in the planning, organizing, and directing of operations; or

  • An equivalent combination of training and experience.
