Before you play another game, check what your collection can already earn you. The 8th Inning path offers a 30,000 XP voucher for collecting both 7th Inning bosses, which could save you a fair amount of playing time. If those cards are sitting in your inventory, review that requirement first. Your MLB 26 stubs deserve some thought here, too. Buying missing cards or exchanging valuable players isn't automatically worth it. Compare the cost with the XP available, especially if you've still got straightforward missions left to finish.
Build a lineup around unfinished missions
The next thing to check isn't your batting order. It's your mission screen. Three mission drops offer up to 32,000 XP apiece, so there's plenty to work toward beyond ordinary gameplay experience. Look for objectives you can tackle together. Cornerstone Series players can earn Parallel XP while your lineup collects hits, runs, and extra-base hits. Later tasks involve Topps Now, Spotlight, and 2026 Postseason cards. Swap eligible players in before starting. Otherwise, you might spend an evening playing well without moving the objectives that would've helped you most.
Pick a mode that serves your lineup
Offline play gives you room to work through those requirements without building every session around online competition. Got an unfinished Conquest map Start there if its games count toward your chosen tasks. Prefer a regular run of CPU matchups Mini Seasons may suit you better. Diamond Quest and Play vs CPU also support many objectives, but read each mission's eligibility text. Ranked hits still require Ranked games. The same goes for Events requirements. Don't assume a productive game counts everywhere just because you're using the right cards.

Give the Double XP window a purpose
Double XP runs through October 19, 2026, while the inning path expires on October 23, 2026. Put your longer gameplay sessions inside that earlier window when possible. Just don't count on mission payouts doubling alongside gameplay XP. They're separate sources of progress. Before logging off, check what you've completed and what's close. A nearly finished objective might be worth another game; a fresh challenge with several requirements might not fit tonight. That small check keeps your remaining time tied to rewards you can realistically reach.
Keep your next reward in sight
The boss choice pack sits at 275,000 XP and offers 99 OVR Ken Griffey Jr. or 99 OVR Roy Campanella. Work out your remaining XP, then choose manageable objectives instead of chasing everything. Don't let the urge to buy cheap MLB 26 stubs replace that plan. Keep collection costs separate from gameplay progress, and choose the boss who fills an actual hole in your lineup.
